Vintage Autumn Wedding

So, yesterday was the wedding of Charlotte, a quirky, fun, beautiful and a little crazy girl from Essex who's background is performing arts.. and Mike, a tall, dark and handsome Scottish guy in the RAF. The most perfect match! From the second I first met them back in March we instantly hit it off and I knew this was going to be one hell of a bash. Both of their backgrounds was musical theatre and they wanted a Jazzy/Swing feel to the day - I excitedly obliged! They booked me for the Reception Drinks, Wedding Breakfast and Disco. The venue was Barleylands in Billericay, right on the lake in a secluded marquee. Charlottes bridal gown was so pretty, and the boys suits were very dapper from Anthony's Formalwear, Billericay.Beautiful Saxophone When I arrived yesterday morning I was thrilled to see the vintage/romatic theme Charlotte had gone for. There were hay stacks with pumpkins on the grass by the lake, with fairy lights and candles everywhere, absolute perfection.Vintage Theme The weather was a little chilly, but as the wedding car and bus arrived from a church in The Strand, London, I began playing the saxophone starting with 'Let There Be Love'. I used my retro microphone and sang a few Jazz favourites the couple had requested.Performing Outside! We all moved into the heated marquee and as the guests mingled I performed a selection of Jazz and Swing classics. As the BBQ was served I played some beautiful mellow saxophone pieces including 'Lil Darlin, 'Have I Told You Lately' and 'Minnie the Moocher'.Handmade Ladder Table Plan The evening was just amazing! The crowd (50% Essex, 50% Scottish) were so much fun... I did a three hour disco and the dancefloor was full the entire time, every song a hit!!!! They ended the night with the Scottish tradition Run Rig and then New York New York. It was such a fabulous evening.Stunning Marquee Congratulations Mr & Mrs Irons xx
