Fireworks Night with Heart FM

So last night myself and one of my saxophonists, Leanna, had the privilege of performing on the Heart Essex trailer at the phenomenal Billericay fireworks display at Lake Meadows. After a very rainy day the weather changed and it turned out to be dry! We arrived in the afternoon to sound check and meet the amazing sound and lighting team from DPL Production. After a quick run through to set our levels I was fully confident in a great performance. After a great introduction from Martin and Su (Heart FM breakfast show) our Sister Sax duo were the first act on of the evening. We performed Firestone (I thought the lyrics about sparks and fire were quite suited for the occasion!), Moondance (to show our swing style), and finished with an epic club vocal & saxophone track Jubel (Save Me). I was so excited as there were almost 20,000 in the crowd and the atmosphere was electric, especially on our final song. It really created an immense buzz, and not only did people come up to me and say how great it was, I actually took bookings as soon as we walked off the stage! I am very proud of Sister Sax and everything we do, but this has to be one of my favourites. We had some great photos and video footage captured so I shall add some to my Blog.
