LOVE is in the air!

LOVE is in the air!

So yes, the wedding season is here and my days are now filled with wedding planning and music, love songs and more music! I am always excited before every wedding and I suppose that's a bonus considering it's my job haha. The Bride, Sarah I always give Bride and Grooms the option of which music/songs they would like. Whether that is during the day and/or for the disco. Generally I have, or already play, most requests, but I love to have new songs and it's great when I'm asked to perform something new. Aisle Song Last Saturday (which was the most beautiful day of sunshine we have had so far this year)I was booked to play for the wedding of Luke and Sarah. They had asked me if I would play their aisle and recessional song acoustic on the saxophone. I was thrilled.. Both songs they had chosen I had not played before. The aisle song was Latch by Sam Smith, and the exit song was All You Need Is Love by, of course, The Beatles - brilliant choices! I recorded my version of Latch and Whatsapp'd it over to Sarah, to which she was over the moon! The Cake The venue was Preston Priory Barn, set in the beautiful countryside on the Essex/Suffolk border. I see many, many wedding venues ... but this one one of my favourites by far! The rustic setting just oozed romance, and with the stunning sunshine - well, you couldn't have had a more perfect English wedding. The Ceremony Outside I sang and played saxophone in the courtyard and the afternoon was just idyllic. I usually play a selection of easy listening during reception drinks, but the bride had asked for some up-tempo music towards the end so I sang a few club classics and a bit of motown, which went down so well! The entire party were singing and the feet were tapping away lol! I had some lovely comments and everything had gone to plan. The wedding photographer on the day was Andy Chambers. He was great, very professional and friendly. I will be receiving the photographs he took next week for use on my website so I'm looking forward to seeing them. So, a massive congratulations to the beautiful Sarah and her new husband Luke. I wish them a very happy ever after xx
