New Zealand Bride

New Zealand Bride

On Sunday 27th September I had the privilege of performing at the beautiful @FriernManor in Brentwood. The bride, Nathalie, is from New Zealand and found me from across the globe!! Her bestie (who happens to be a wedding planner) came along to one of my restaurant gigs with the Bride's mum to have a listen. They loved me and passed on the great news to Nathalie who then went ahead with the booking. She came back only two weeks before her wedding and I invited her to my home to have a chat and play some live music. She had asked me to perform her 1st dance which was Ellie Goulding How Long Will I Love You. I usually play this song on the saxophone but I learnt the vocals and performed it in my living room! She was so impressed she got a bit chocked up and then recorded it for her fiancé to hear. She said that was the first moment she really felt excited about the day and was overwhelmed with emotion :-) For a late summer date the Bride and Groom were extremely lucky with the weather and I arrive at the venue to set up in the beautiful sunshine. The venue has a gorgeous marque and she had a vintage style theme (I was in heaven!!) I played the saxophone during her reception drinks outside and then everyone went inside for the BBQ feast. Playing and singing the first dance was a little nerve racking but totally brilliant and gave a personal touch to their chosen song. I took some lovely video footage for her as she walked down the aisle and some of the evening too, she had no idea I had filmed her from behind as she walked down the aisle and was thrilled to receive it a few days after the wedding. I do this as much as I can for my brides as those are memories you want to look back on time and time again. Here is a selection of media from the day. Congratulations to Eric & Nathalie xx
